I just moved into my apartment about 2 months ago, I was cleaning my vacumme cleaner tank out with bleach cause it had mold in it and as I was pouring the bleach, some got into the tube that has no bottom and spilled threw the cracks of the table onto the floor! The carpet is one big peice type carpet! I can afford to be asked to replace the entire carpet when I move! Any suggestions?? Thanks!! :-(

You cannot combat bleach. There is simply no way to hide it. It’s irreversable.

cut out the bleached peice or peices, and replace with squares of the same type of carpet

You can’t remove bleach. Sorry, but you’re in for a new carpet.

Cut out a small square of carpet from a closet and swap out the 2 pieces. Chances are your landlord won’t be looking at the carpet in a closet when you move.

SHE RIGHT, BUT YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE TO PAY FOR A REPAIR. THEY/YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL A CLOSET, & MAKE A REPAIR & REPLACE THE CLOSET WITH AS CLOSE A MATCH AS POSSIBLE. IF, …… I SAID IF, THEY’RE REASONABLE, THEY SHOULD NOT CRUCIFY YOU!

Dye the carpet area to match the rest of it. You can’t get bleach out. Bleach is the out.

There are 2 good answers here. cut out the spot and replace or Dye it. Carpet dyes are available @ most large carpet stores. It will work OK if you dye the entire room 1 shade darker than it already is. Patching it is OK to put not easy for first timers. To replace find a carpet that is close and take some out of a closet. Put the close match in the closet and repair that visible spot with the closet piece. This will only work well if you have plush carpet. Berbers and cut and loop are too hard to seam.Good Luck!

try to buy dye. with the same color. just to make sure, use some on the innerside of the carpet, do tat until you come up with the same color then use it on the spot.
