When I worked in nursing I always used hydrogen peroxide to remove blood from my uniforms. You can pour it directly onto the stain.
OxyClean is also great at removing blood stains. Just follow the instructions on the bottle. Remember to always use cold water on blood stains, as hot water will set the stain.

First, wash with cold water. Hot water "bakes" in the protein in the blood so use cold. Second, pour some ERA directly on the stain, let it set at least 10 min. Take an old toothbrush or fingernail brush and scrub the ERA in well. Let it sit another 5 min. Wash as usual but in COLD water. ERA has enzymes in it that will go after blood stains. You shouldn’t have to use bleach.

soak in a bucket or sink with water and some detergent or spray shout or a stain treater spray right on the stain, throw in wash, and it will come out.
