  1. Diane B says:

Heat the area with your hair dryer using the lowest heat possibly, then gently scrap the area with a credit card — wipe off and apply some murphy's oil — works every time.

  2. thestrongdragon says:

Get some Murphy's Oil Soap made for wood floors, it takes about any stain off.

  3. PEACE! says:

hair dryer heat back to liquid wipe off…

  4. Slickin' It says:

Either scrap it or melt it. Then wipe it off.

  5. lisalau says:

scrub it or put dry ice over it

  6. sunny r says:

    Ice

  7. Tina T says:

Put newspaper on it and then use a hot iron; it will soak up the wax into the newspaper once it melts.

  8. XgingyX says:

Use an ice pack to get the wax cold, leave it on there for a little while, and then take something sturdy and flat, like a putty knife or something and slowly lift it from the wood, if it leaves a stain, get some wood staining kits to best match the color, sorry i dont think there is anything easier

  9. WealthyGirl says:

Wait for it to completely dry, then easily peel it off.

You can buy some hardwood floor cleaner at a drug store to help restore the luster. that should work

  10. fdragoneyesonme says:

if you still have the wax on the floor. heat it with a blow dryer and mop it up with a paper towel and then wax your floor like normal.

  11. Queenie says:

If ice doesn't seem to work…than get an old towel/rag and a hot iron. Place the iron on medium to low heat and place over the towel on top of the wax marks. The heat will melt the wax and the wax will soak into the towel. DONT let the iron touch the floor though.

  12. FireMedic says:

Moist cloth towel and a clothes iron…it will drawl the color up.

  13. DR. DIRT says:

put ice cubes in a towel, lay them on the wax,for a few minutes, use razor – scraper very carefully -to remove the wax

I had a stain on my wood floor and I used Goo Gone. It takes care of the wax and the stain. Don't leave it on the floor wash it off after it takes care of the stain. Wash it off with Murphy's Oil Soap and water, because if you don't it will harm the clear coat finish on the floor. Do not use heat like some others said because it will heat set the stain into the wood floor & then you'll never get it off. Hope this helps.
