How do I get a cat pee stain out of a carpet and padding?

Moved into a house, and when I moved a highboy, there was a giant old cat pee stain underneath. Its probably about 2 years old, and Ive tried resolve, vinegar, even a bleach mixture, and cant seem to get it up. Staining the carpet isnt a problem, just the smell. Any advice?

The best way to get pet urine odor out of carpet is to inject an enzyme-based cleaner into the carpet. It doesn’t get all the way down if you just spray on.

Try putting some of this stuff in an injection tube, and stick it down into the carpet pad, then spray some on top of the carpet as well. You may have to repeat the process a few times because the longer urine sits there, the harder it is to get rid of.

There is a Febreeze made for pet odors. Don’t really know what else you could do. I was going to recommend vinegar solution but you said that you already tried that. Hope I was able to help!

What type of vinegar did you use?
Is there padding underneath the carpet?
You might try putting baking soda down for 1/2 hour or so and then vacuuming it up. Then empty out & wipe out the vacuum.
