how do i get a nail polish remover stain off a wood vanity?

i accidently spilled nail polish remover on my sisters dresser and she will kill me when she see’s it. it has turned whiteish becuase of the reaction i guess? what is some sort of cleaner i could use or anything else to get it out! pleasee help!!!!!

    Well, you can try rubbing the mark with oil on a soft cloth. I recommend cooking oil or even mayonnaise.

    You might get lucky and the oil alone might fix the problem.

    If not, the only solution is to sand the entire top of the vanity (fine grit sandpaper) and re-stain it. If you need to do this, sand the entire top, not just the one spot. If you sand just the one spot, the repair is very hard to disguise.

    get a sharpie the color of it and try to color it in.
    acetone (nail polish remover) demolishes that kind of furniture.

    My 5 year old accidentally marked on my wood table with a permanent marker and I came across a suggestion of using hand sanitizer… and it worked like a charm. :)
