Use a damp cloth to gently rub it off taking care not to remove the wall paint. If the wall paint comes off with it, you will need some of the original wall paint to touch-up the spot. If you don't have any left over paint and you are the first owner of the house, contact the builder of your house and ask for the paint brand and color code. If you can't get the color code, you will need to take a paint chip about the size of a quarter to the paint store and have it color matched.

When touching up a spot, feather out the wet paint after covering the spot by using long quick brush strokes back and forth across the wet spot with a dry paint brush. This will eliminate any visible paint lines or shadows that can be caused by very slight shade differences in the paint colors. When the paint dries everything should look perfect.
