Try Purell hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. Believe it or not it gets stains out. My dog had chewed blue magic marker and left blue spots on my light colored rug. The stains are gone….I just kept rubbing, blotting etc. and then ran my rug cleaner to get the residual off. Hope it helps.

Use half white distilled vinegar and half water rub into stain then blot off then sprinkle over baking soda leave then vacuum off the next day. should do the trick! x

I have had to get some strange things out of alot of diffrent kinds of carpets and rugs. I have found only one thing that consistently gets out anything. Capture carpet cleaning from sears. It has gotten the hardest of stains out for me. I first discovered it when I had to get out a big red stain, that had sat for 3 years, out of a rug that I had barrowed from my father and I now had to return it so that he could put it into his new home. It was a light colored very expensive rug! After exhausting everything under the sun I came upon this from a friend.Tryed it and when it worked I cryed tears of such joy I needed to pass it along to all that I can. Good luck. I feel for you and hope that you find something that works. If you havent I urge you to try this.

You need to delute the stained area with water to rinse it away but it seems you tried that. You will need to bleach it but using clorine bleach will take out the cream color so you will need a more mild bleach like baking soda or color safe bleach used for clothes. Apply a mixture of one of these bleaching agents to the stain. Lift the rug and put a bucket under it, (if you can) and pour the mixture through the carpet into a bucket underneath. If this fades the stain the first time, then continue until it is gone.
