My pants have been soaking in oxyclean all day. I have washed them 2 times in ERA laundry soap, and I am so aggrivated. They are brand new.
Got any idea’s to get the blood out?

    * Set blood stains (Yellow rust like stains contain iron) -

For set blood stains, try rust removers like (Try RoVer, Whink – Home Depot). They can be used to dissolve blood & rust stains. Follow instructions on the pack.

    Good Luck!!

Try bicarb of soda and baking power mixed into a paste with water and stick it on the pants. Leave it to dry and then wash in warm soapy water. If that doesn’t work Homebase sell stain devils which is designed to work on red wine and blood stains. I’ve never used it on blood but it got the red wine stain out of our carpet straight away with no stain left at all. Hope these work.

I’ve never used the oxyclean or ERA, but I found a product a few years ago that works really well.

It is called Zout and comes in either a concentrated liquid or a spray. I like the liquid concentrate. It is very gentle and you can also use it to handwash delicates. You can find it in the laundry aisle at the grocery store.

Saturate the stain with it and rub it into the fabric well. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wash in warm or cold (no hot) water. It may take a second application, but I’ve had a lot of luck with this stuff. It is also especially good with ink stains.

if the pants are "brand new" and the stain is "old", return the pants to the store for an exchange.

the best and simple way to remove blood stains is plain old peroxide.. I’m not sure what reaction your going to get at this point, after soaking in another chemical solution that you already used.. but using peroxide on sneakers sheets pants most cloth, material , it really works wonders…
oh and another way maybe a slow but old fashioned way is rub some lemon and salt and let it sit in the sun.. that’s my grandmothers remedy…. blood stain is a protein stain and its a difficult one , good luck tt in Margate
