According to the Author of Talking Dirty with the Queen of Clean, Linda Cobb, a product called ODORZOUT is a natural product that stops most odors (skunk, urine, mold, mildew, smoke, foot odor, paint, etc.). It is safe for use around pets and children. http://www.88stink.com/

Be sure to wash your dryer lint screen with white vinegar.

Also you might try running your washer with an empty load and adding a large can of tomato juice to the water. Tomatoes and tomato juice get out many odors so perhaps this is help with your washer.

Is your cat’s liter box in your laundry room? if so may your cat has missed the box and what your smelling is on your walls? Just a thought.

Clean the lint after every cycle. Maybe the smell comes back cause of pet hair stuck in the lint net thing.
Fabric softners are scented, so that could disguise bad odor.
I cannot understand how you get pet odor that bad in your washer and dryer though. Anyways, good luck.

I have added baking soda in the wash cycle. Leave the washer and dryer open after you use them to let the smell dissipate.

tomato juice is good 4 odors, but if u run a cycle , make sure u do a cycle to rinse the tomato juice cycle. the dryer could be wiped out using a rag with some mr clean, or other household cleaner, wipe, clean lint catch with scrub brush with some cleaner , then run some fabric sheets in it with damp hand towels

bleach out the washer and wipe out the dryer with bleach then wash the clothes with alot of detergent and liquid fabric softner. Then bleach everything again
