How do I get red kool-aid out of carpet after the stain has been in the carpet for at least a month?

My kids spilled red kool-aid on my living room carpet and I’ve tried putting woollite carpet cleaner on it with some sort of oxygen cleaner in it, but it didn’t help it. Does anybody else have anything else that get it clean?

OK my husband is an apt. maintenance man and the way they get red stains out of the carpets is as follows
get 3 to 4 light colored towels(white is best)
get a clothes iron heat it to high cotton setting
take one of the towels and get it wet with hot water, lay it over the stain, cover it with a dry towel and place iron on top of it.(keep an eye on it) after few minutes remove wet towel(which now will be red from stain) keep repeating the wet towel till stain is gone

Try Tide with colorsafe Bleach. Scrub it good with a scrubbrush. and keep dabbing it with a towel to get the soap out or use a wet vac.

I’ve had good luck with OxiClean. My mom always used to use Fantastik.

For any kind of red drinks you need a special cleaner formulated to remove red dye. Steam cleaning won’t do it. A janitor supply company should be able to help you out. Most sell to the public.

sounds like a tough one. use Woolite stain remover or higher a pro.

Of all the stains, one of the most difficult to remove includes Kool-Aid. Several stain removal websites caution about the variety of fabrics and how the cleanup for each depends on the actual fiber content. If you happen to know the brand of carpet or where it was purchased, call the dealer or store. Other wise check these sites out for all kinds of stain buster tips:

Just use plain old OxyClean. I use that on everything. My husband is in the military and so I get all sorts of weird stains and goo to clean, and it works every time. It has even worked on set in blood from bloody nose. ( by set in I mean 3 days, how I love my hubby!) Hope this helps you out.

Buy resolve for the carpet, but before that take 1 part alcohol and 2 parts water and with a sponge gently sponge the area, wait a few minutes and then take a piece of paper towel
and press it onto the stain, and see if it lifts any of it off. if so then continue.

Mix a paste out of Baking Soda and water… spread on the stain and let set… dampen the area and clean up the stain
