    You can try scrubbing it with baking soda. If it is a coated pan your best bet is to replace it. The rusting will only spread, and transfer to your food. They are inexpensive. Better to get a new one and lessen the risk of getting sick.

    I’ll tell you if your pan is coated, and it probably is youre only gonna be out like 20 bucks. You should really invest in a cast iron skillet. They wont ever go bad….ever. Old ones like Martins are really good and pretty easy to find on ebay. If you buy a new one, coat the old one in vegetable oil and put it in the oven at 350 for about an hour. Then take it out and wipe the excess off with a rag. Then cook something good and greasy, like frying pork chops in it. This is called seasoning your pan. If you buy cast iron, NEVER put it in the dishwasher because you’ll have to start all over. You dont really have to wash them, you just put a small amount of soap and wipe it clean. They are great and really popular in the south.
