How do I get rid or this stain on my carpet?

My neice visited us a few months ago and she moved the rug to play and…well long story short we found a red cool-aid(sp?) stain on the carpet hidden under the rug.It is about 3 months old and is fairly big, about 12 inches across. We live in an apartment with tan carpet. Do I have any hope of getting it out now or is it to late? Any suggestions?

    I have used Oxyclean to get red fruit punch stains out of a kitchen rug before. These stains were not very old-found the next morning after a party-so I’m not sure how this will work for you.
    Just make a paste from oxyclean and water and rub on the carpet with a brush. Use a wet rag to wipe and rinse the carpet.
    I’ve also found that if you wet the stained area and then try the trick I described above, it tends to work better because the stain "wicks up" out of the carpet easier.

    Try a product called Nylac. Haven’t heard of a failure yet!

    I swear by this stuff at Walmart & Sams called SPOT SHOT. I have no idea if other stores are carrying it!
