How do I get this stain out of my carpet?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

My carpet is beige and it’s just this one spot. Last night I knocked over my friends crystal light water, which was red. We checked everywhere but we didn’t have any carpet cleaner. I know it’s stupid, but we got stain remover for clothes and sprayed it on. The stain got light pink, but it’s still very noticeable.

What can we do to get the stain out without carpet cleaner or the machine, because I don’t have that either???

Any help would be amazing!!

rub the stain with warm water then sprikle a light amount of salt ontop. if the stain is still there then aply more salt

  3. Katie says:

rub egg all over the stain. let this sit for about a half an hour then pour salt on it. this should dissolve the egg along with the stain.

Um, please don’t put eggs and salt on your carpet…

Try that. It works wonders. I swear it is like magic.

You’re going to need to talk to a professional. The neutralizer made for red dye is something sold only to professionals because of its unstable properties. Many come in two parts, to be mixed on sight at the time of application. My source will have a directory of professionals across the United States; they also write the Standard of Care for carpet cleaning.

Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!
