I would try vinegar 1/2 and 1/2 warm water. Don’t use any abrasives. Let it stand for a few minutes then use a non abrasive sponge or soft cloth and rub lightly. You may have to do it 2 or 3 times.

I know this completely doesn’t answer your question, but it can come off. We get them all the time and our cleaning people can get them out.

3M makes an industrial scrub pad that works wonders….

Always had good luck with soft-scrub. A cleaner that uses diatomaceous earth as the abrasive should be OK.

    *** WARNING ***
Some abrasive pads will scratch the ceramic, leaving nasty evidence of your cleaning efforts. When trying a new kind, make sure it says it is for ceramic cooktops.

They make cleaners for ceramic stoves, I have one. Get some or you will continually have issues with this. Since you already have an issue, you will need to get the cleaner, it is a liquid paste, and the cleaning pad. You cannot use the green ones that are abrasive because they will scratch. The one I have is yellow & some of the cleansers come with one. Just make sure you get one that is appropriate for ceramic stoves. Wal-Mart sells it, it is a white plastic bottle with a black lable, can’t think of the brand right now.

i scrape mine off with a single edge razor blade.

The stain is probably a lime stain. Try using a lime stain remover that is safe to use on glass. Like CLR

I have a one and there is a cleaner that came with it. When that was done, I got a product called Astonish. It’s a paste made with silica flour and very low abrasive. It works wonders!!!! I have heard of other items from Canadian Tire for this purpose, but everyone that I have recommended this to, who have tried the other product, has said that this works better.

I honestly don’t know and it is a personal preference, but it does work very well for me. I never tried the other product.

I used to get it from a friend that sold it through one of those home products selling company with the catologs, but that went under a couple of years ago.

Here is the website for them.

(the white container is the same as the blue one. It also prevents your windows from fogging up.)
