How do I remove a stain without bleach?

I need to remove some stains from my chef’s coat before competition next week. I can’t use bleach on it. What would be a good way to remove some stains from my coat without resorting to buying a new coat (as they are expensive)?
The stains mostly consist of grease from cleaning the flat-top.

If the stains are grease stains, the spray and wash stain remover will not lift the grease. Apply Dawn Dish washing soap to grease stains full strength and let it sit for 20 minutes before washing in luke warm water. Oxy Clean spray and wash will work on other types of food stains, but not grease.

My husband is a chef and this is how I have been keeping his clothes clean.

You can try spray and wash on stain with some water or a very mild detergent and let sit for awhile then rinse.
