How do I remove dried blood stain from light blue carpeting?

No I didn’t kill anyone. My little dog hurt his nose and wiped the blood on the carpeting. It’s not a lot but more like streaks on it. He didn’t drip blood more of it is just on the very top of the carpeting. Not down in the grain. I hear Peroxide works but scared it will bleach it. Any suggestions?

There is a product in dollar stores called Awesome. It comes in a clear bottle and is yellow in color. It will take your blood stains right out. I have used it on everything and have never had it discolor anything. It also works on dirty carpets, hair dye, and many other things you can’t imagine. (It is in Dollar Tree here.)

in the Hos. when we get blood on our clothing they are washed in Peroxide. I never saw it bleach any thing, but I cant be sure.
However it does take the blood out

    peroxide can bleach the carpet.

I suggest a damp cloth with warm water and soap…and alot of muscle. hehe. just be sure not to soak the carpet…you don’t want to get it moldy!

It should get it out with no problem.

good luck and take care! ^_^

Have you simply tried rubbing it with cold water?

Cold water. As a rule, anything that is red use cold water to clean it out. At least I know from experience that this works well on fresh blood stains on clothes. I assume it works on dried blood stains as well. Assuming you didn’t try to clean it with something else already.

Just use some warm water and a little dish soap on a paper towel and scrub lightly.

Try the peroxide in a closet or somewhere that it wont matter if it changes your carpet. But many kinds of carpet are color fast. i know I have used perixide from my little boys bloody nose dripping on the carpet.

all I can suggest is either milk or stuff called resolve high traffic foam. it takes a lot of stains out.

Try a little bit of white wine…I know that sounds crazy but it worked for me a few years ago.

Peroxide will work and probably wont bleach at all. I bought the Wooly Carpet cleaner and it works like magic. you can get it at any home depot or local grocery store!

    :D
