They are not fresh stains but at least a month old. Soap and water has not worked.

Thanks for your help.

    paint over them!

btw- how do you get red wine on your ceiling (that’s some party!)

Get some spray Kilz. It comes in a can that sprays up. You can get it at any hardware store or walmart. It covers the stain so it will not bled through. Then you paint over it. (if you ceiling is white, sometimes you don’t have to paint over it.)

    Good luck.

Wine on the ceiling??? Buy a can of primer and paint. If you paint without the primer being applied first the wine will show through the paint. Maybe next time don’t party so hard.

You could try spraying hydrogen peroxide on to the stains and let it soak. Then spray some shout or spray and wash. Let that sit and then dab it with a damp cloth. It will normally work when its fresh but I don’t know how well it will work when its old. It won’t hurt to try. Otherwise you are into a paint job.
