How do I safely cover a bleach stain?

I have a pretty old dress which got stained with bleach when it was being handwashed. The dress is 100% cotton, and it’s a fairly light lavender color. I’m not sure if it would be better to bleach the entire dress and then dye it, or just use a really dark dye that would mask the bleach spot. I’m also not sure what kind of dye to use. Because the dress is so old, I would feel most comfortable using a non-chemical dye (especially if I am also using bleach).

Make sure you have protection, be it mace in your pocket or a water balloon. Be prepared and know your surroundings!

I’ve taken a Karate class to help me stay safe. Ignorance is your only enemy when it comes to safety.

throw it away and shout yourself a new dress, the old one is probably out of fashion by now, have a throwing away party to make yourself a whole lot better

The dye "thing" won’t work. All you’ll end up with is a different colored spotted dress.
