I have tried most of these so called miracle stain removers to no avail. Does anyone know of anything that actually works?

The dyes in Kool-Aid, Gatorade and Jell-o generally result in a permanent stain. However, you can still try to remove carpet stains caused by these products. The newest technology uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area to remove the stain and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product such as Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, and then allow it to penetrate for approximately five minutes. Using a clean white absorbent cloth, blot the area, pressing down firmly (do not rub) for 30 seconds. Repeat this blotting process until the area is dry. If the odor persists, repeat the process. Another option for cleaning carpet stains such as these is to use ordinary household and blot at the stain using a clean cloth. When cleaning carpet stains with ammonia, wear a mask or turn your head so you don’t inhale the fumes…

A strong solytion of oxy clean on a wet rag left to soak about 6 hours or better then extract all solution. Should remove stain.

I suggest using a box cutter..it’ll cut that stain right out!!

I accidentally spilled some wood bleach on a red wine stain on our carpet years ago and it took the stain out. I was worried about it ruining the carpet but you couldn’t tell where the stain had been.

    Not recommending, just saying.

I would mix a little bleach with your cleaning.

Yes, I use a product called "Red Relief" — it is made specifically for red food dye. It works by removing oxygen from the stain (the exact opposite of Oxi-Clean et.al. (presumably those miracle stain removers) that add oxygen).

You mix the two parts, use them immediately as it has a short pot life. Then put on a damp towel and apply heat via an iron. It turns the stain a dark yellow that is easily extracted with normal cleaning.

Only thing I know that handles red or grape Koolaid is bar of Lava soap with water and a brush. Also works on counter tops.
