my apprach is a little odd, but it works.

if the stain is not to deep in the matress, i use a 2 to 1 hydrogen peroxide and water (respectively) solution on the stain.
the peroxide draws the blood from the stain, causing bubbles.
then wipe with a damp cloth

no more then a dollar at a drugstore. used for cuts, wounds, etc.

    No, milk won’t help.

Use cool water and an old towel. Wring it out so it’s barely wet, and wipe at the spot. When the towel shows brown or red, use a new part of it.

When no more is coming out and the spot remains, use a blender to whip up suds out of dishwashing detergent and cool water. Apply the suds–not the water–to the spot, scrub a bit, and see if any more will come out.

If no more will come out, that’s about it. Buy a nice mattress pad and forget about it. (And always make sure there’s a mattress pad on your bed when you expect your period.)

yes milk can get it out,
but can be very smelly after, try cold water and soap, that always work when my bleed leaks on my pants
    hope this helps x

Hydrogen peroxide works well, just pour a small amount on the spot and dab it off with a damp cloth after it bubbles for a while.
