I have just been given a duvet but it has a dried blood stain on it! The previous owner of the duvet had her child actually on the bed and it 'childbirth stains' seeped through the sheet. How do I get rid o the stain so it is not visable and will not damage the springs?

    Try hydrogen peroxide.

soak in cold water and a stain remover then wash and rinse in cold only. if it is not gone, do not dry it, but try the soaking and rinsing again.
