How do you get a stain out of a red couch without taking the color out too?

Its a cloth couch, not leather/pleather or anything like that and the stain is-you guessed it MUSTARD!!
Every time I try to clean a spot from it, the color fades very easily. It is very annoying.

    I take my cushion cover off my cushion and put it in the washer on delicate and then line dry them. I know there is laundry soaps out there specifically to keep from fading fabrics.
