How do you get vodka and rum mixed with red gatorade, that has been vomitted up out of beige carpet, once the stain has set for a few days?

I had a red stain on my carpet from a Powerade spill and what I did was take a damp cloth with a little soap and I got it so that it was damp. (Not dripping, but just enough for it to be wet.) Then I set the iron on the lowest lowest heat and it started to pull the stain up. (The article gives detailed instructions) Now you can hardly see the stain. For the rest of the stain, I think that a good cleaner, like oxy, or whatever you prefer would do the trick.

Resolve is good, but OxyClean is what I use now. My cat used to puke hairballs a lot and I have white carpet in my RENTAL!!
Whatever you use, just make sure you do the "test" spot first!
