How do you get a very old blood stain out of fabric?

There is a blood stain in my comforter. The stain is over a year old. Any way of removing it?

    I’ll go with peroxide too, but you can also soak the spot in a paste made from OxyClean which is powdered hydrogen peroxide. Or you could push the stain into a bucket of OxyClean and hotwater and let it sit over nite.

    Try peroxide. This works great on new blood stains and may work good on old ones as well.
