Father in law has spilt olive oil on his best trousers (polyester type, I should think) He put them straight in the washing machine but the stain is still there.
Help please.

In the future asw soon as it happens, put some baby powder, baking soda, powder, etc.. on the spot right away. This absords the oil and helps lift the stain. Before putting into the wash spray some shout on it and rub in circular motion, then wash as usual.

Since you have already washed it the stain may be set in. But try shout and leave it to sit overnight. Good luck

Try "Shout". It's pretty good at getting oil stains out.

You could try fairy liquid or some other washing-up liquid.. Put it on the stain (dry) and then put it in a washing machine! Has worked for me!

OXI – Clean!!! love this stuff. It gets most 'natural' stains out.
