The most effective way to remove grease stains from laundry is to treat the stain with a dishwashing detergent that is formulated to remove grease. Rub it into the stain, let sit for a few minutes, then wash as usual. Waterless mechanic´s soap (from an auto-parts store) is also very effective at cutting grease. Grease is very effective at removing grease, so you could also rub Crisco into the stain, then launder.

I have found that Ronson lighter fluid is the best grease remover. You must be very careful and keep it away from flame. Put it on a wash cloth and dab at the grease spot. If it is a larger spot, put the fluid right on the stain and blot with a rag or paper towel. This has worked on our auto upholstery as well as clothing. The fluid dries very quickly. I then wash the garmet as normal. On Upholstery you can work at it until the stain is gone and it dries on its own in a few seconds. .Hope this helps – just be careful around fire or flames.

A good squirt of Dawn dish soap onto the grease, let it soak in then scrub it with an old toothbrush. Don’t let the Dawn dry up, get it into the washer within about 10 minutes. Use laundry soap and wash it as usual. Do NOT put it into the dyer until the grease stain is gone, otherwise you just cook it into the fabric for good. best of luck to you.

Okay what you should try is take a bucket and mix a bottle of Clorox with Windex. Works wonders.

Soak stain with Dawn dishwashing liquid,
at least 30 minutes or over night. Wash as usual.
Do NOT put in dryer! Air dry, then check stain.

Repeat if necessary. I also like liquid Triple
Action OxyClean for stains. As long as you
don’t set the stain with the dryer or an iron,
    you can try different things.

I have heard that pouring Coke on a grease stain will
remove it, but I have not tried this yet–I haven’t
had a grease stain since I heard the tip!
