I moved into my apartment almost a year ago and reside in Washington. The weather here is much different from what I’m used to and it’s hard to bare at times. The weather can change from hard storming rain to hail to sunshine and warm weather then turn chilly cold in a day. This causes changes of temperatures indoors as well. I still haven’t figured out where the best place for my bread is without it going bad or soggy. The ink on the bread packages actually transfer onto counter top surfaces if I’m not careful. So now I’ve got advertisements and kool aid stains as well as ink that runs off aluminum cans on my counter tops. I tried dishwashing liquid, clorox, window cleaner, laundry detergent and plenty of elbow grease. It looks sloppy and filthy. Any suggestions on how to get my ivory counter tops spot free? Thanks.
All these answers are so great! I learned some new stuff. However, I tried leaving bleach on it and it took out the kool aid stains slowly but surely but the ink from the bread packages still remains. I haven’t made it to the hardware store to purchase some of these nifty items listed but my neighbor paid me a visit and showed me this really weird technique that turned my ivory countertops white. She washed it with a sponge, bleach and water then took a regular bar of soap and lathered the sponge up. She wiped in circular motions over and over till the counter was well lathered then wiped it up. She took a cloth and got and ice cube out of the freezer and began sliding the ice directly onto the counter and I saw yellow stains appearing on the cloth. The nicks and slice marks on the surface even came out clean and clear. It pulled out years of dirt, oil and grease. The bread ink is still there but began to fade. I will still try your recommendations. Thanx
