I have some clothes that have been packed away in a box and now that i’ve unpacked them, they have what appears to be mouse urine stains. Many of them are velvet or satin and are not washable.

Depending on the fabric (that’s my disclaimer) you can dampen the area around stain and put a thin layer of baking soda over the stain. Place a dry cloth towel under the garment, cover the stain with a wet (not too sopping but wet) paper towel and put a light weight such as a small book on top of it all and leave it for a couple hours. Like all stain solutions you should test the fabrics reaction FIRST in a unseen area. If it’s belted under the belt area is good.

If this doesn’t get enough of the stain out, take it to the dry cleaner and tell them what the stain is. Urine stains can be tough so good luck.

Those fabrics can usually be drycleaned, so try that. I would recommend taking them to a professional cleaner and having them cared for properly, rather than using a home drycleaning kit.
