How do you get out a stubborn chocolate milk stain?

My son spilled some chocolate milk on a nice yellow shirt. Ok, I'm guilty, I didn't put it in the wash right away – that was my first mistake, I know. So, I'm working with a stain that has set. I've washed it twice. I've also scrubbed some detergent directly on the stain & let it sit for an hour before washing it. That seemed to help a little, but not enough. I obviously can't bleach it because the shirt is yellow. Any suggestions/advice?

Try the Ivory Liquid used for dishes (not clothing). Dampen the shirt and then pour on the Ivory undiluted. Rub it and let it sit for a bit.

I'm also a believer in Oxyclean but I don't have personal experience with it working on chocolate. I know it works on lipstick.

If you have a Dollar General near you, go there and by that stuff that you can use to clean your hands with ( i dont remember what its called…sorry) . The container is orange and white and it says that it's for cleaning your hands. It takes out every kind of stain, including RED WINE! Yeah, I use it all the time. I have a five y/o and she gets into a lot of stuff. Half the time, I don't know what kind of stain it is and it still comes out. Even gum! The consistency of it is gritty and goopy and it smells like orange cleaning liquid stuff, but it works.

oxy clean or SHOUT or try soaking in a bowl of hot water and washing powder over night.

Yes. Save the shirt for Halloween, add strawberry syrup and dress up as a banana split. Okay, once you've washed the shirt and the stain didn't come out, you can try treating it again, but if you've washed it (twice yet) and it went through the dryer, the heat has set the stain, and you're pretty much stuck with a new rag for cleaning, or do that banana split thing. Heavy stains must be treated or they don't go away. If it can't be done right away, at least spray it with any of the laundry treatment agents and let it sit that way until washing. Or even let it soak in soapy water until washing.
