I was a blanket in a really small washer and the detergent ended up leaving a big stain. Anyone know how to get rid of it. i would really appreciate it!! thank you!
i used liquid laundry detergent but the blanket just didnt circulate enough. i also tried white vinegar but the only kind i had was diluted. i am going to go to the store and get some undiluted and i might even try some oxiclean powder.

I spray a degreaser or stain remover on the spot, let it sit, then rinse and wash. If it’s a stubborn stain, you can take white vinegar and scrub away at it; then rinse and wash.

    I hope this helps.

Rinse the blanket with fresh water, add at least 1 cup of white vinegar which should remove all traces of the detergent. Your problem arose because the blanket was too large for your small washer and the water was unable to circulate properly and remove the detergents.

I agree with Julie…rewash with a cup of white vinegar, and don’t use any detergent for the re-wash.

But I’d also like to add that the stains were most likely caused by either fabric softener or powdered laundry detergent. I wash blankets, comforters, and large rugs all the time and never had stains on them. When I wash these items, tho, I don’t use fabric softener and I use liquid laundry detergent.

    Just my 2 cents.
