How do you remove a blood stain?

IS there anything that will remove a blood stain. My little cousin got a nosebleed on our downstairs couch, and he didnt tell me untill he came upstairs with dried blood on his nose and hands. Any suggestions on how to get the blood out?

Thanks!

presoak in cold water for 30 mins, then rinse out, then use 3 o4 Tables spoons of amonia per gallon of lukewarm water, and soak, then washout with detergent.try putting a thick cloth under the couch cover, if it is removable.

peroxide works well on getting blood from clothing but I never tried it on furniture so be careful with tyring it on the fabric.

Either meat tenderizer or peroxide works well to remove blood stains

Blot the stain with some hydrogen peroxide.=)

Cold water with loads of salt dissolved in it. The cloth needs to be quite wet and don't rub too hard or you will make it worse. Dab it with a clean dry cloth/ piece of kitchen towel and repeat the process several times. Don't use peroxide unless you have tested it on an inconspicuous area first as it may alter the colour.
