Try a specific rust remover. Maybe CLR or Zud or I’m sure there are others.

Get a cleaner called Bar Keepers Friend, works well on nearly every thing.

Try soft scrub and a sponge. Always works for me.

Use some Comet or Soft Scrub and the scratchy side of a sponge. It always works.

Have you tried those Mr Clean Magic Erasers? They are like a super fine sandpaper. The work wonders, and they also make a generic version, you can find most anywhere for about a dollar for 4.

Spray a little Clorox-up cleaner on rust stain let set for 5 minutes and using a magic eraser gently rub off and wipe with a clean spounge or cloth; using Clorox Clean Up and letting set 5 to 10 minutes will get stains and rust off most counter tops and it disenfects at the same time.
