You have what is known as dye transfer.

You need a strong detergent cleaner like Maxi Cleaner to try to remove this. (Maxi Cleaner was developed especially for this problem) The dye will have gone into the finish on the leather and the deeper it has gone the harder it will be to remove.
Please do not use solvents or hairspray on this as it may make matters much worse.

If Maxi Cleaner does not work then no other cleaner will and you will need to call a qualified leather technician.
A good leather technician will have the proper products to do this and he may have to replace finish and pigment so it is best left to him/her to do.

A good leather protector will inhibit this kind of thing happening again.

You could maybe find somebody but leather? Doubtful.

Depending on your couch…… if it was a cushion you might be able to just turn it over and all is well. If it is other places well after you have it for a bit it will brown a bit, wear and brown a bit here and there.

Think about using a stain that gives it a brown or black look in the cracks.

    hair spray …
and i dont mean the expensive stuff
use the cheapest you can find
the alcohol content is higher in the cheap stuff
and NO you can not use plain alcohol
the other chemicals in the hairspray are important as they lift the dyes out of the leather that the alcohol have broken down

spray on heavy … use a clean WHITE cloth to wipe lightly …

you may have to do this a couple times

now that the stain is out … use a leather conditioner on the area and all will be well for many more years

Wilson’s’ Suede and leather has a leather cleaner specifically for light toned leathers. It works great and it moisturizes as well to repel any additional staining. Or,you can try any shoe store that carries leather conditioner. I hope that this helps.
