    when my mum spilt her red wine my nana poured white wine over it, it seems to neutralise the redness, then some fairy liquid and good old elbow grease, really good scrubber, hot water and a cloth, removed it within a few minutes. xx

    Depends on how old your stain is but here is the very best answer for future spills. Surprising but true, if you spill red wine on anything you should immediately pour white wine on the stained area (while it is still wet). The stain will come out and usually, although hard to do, it will be worth losing the white wine to do it.
