How do you remove stains made from urine stained by Azo Standard?

My dad has a bad bladder infection and being elderly he wet the carpet before he could get to the bathroom. He’s been taking Azo-Standard and we cannot get the orange stain out of the carpet. Any suggestions?

I hope that he is being treated with an antibiotic for the infection and that the Azo was simply a way to control the pain while waiting for the Antibiotic got a chance to do its thing. Azo is simply an anaesthetic – and I hate to say it, but the anaesthetic properties of it come from a compound that is also a permanent dye. (No kidding). I have yet to find anything that will take it out. But I do have two sugestions considering that this is carpet and not a pair of tossable underwear.
    1) email the lady known as "the queen of clean" (google that phrase, it will be the first hit) she is known for being able to take the stains out of anything.
    2) email the manufacturer of the Azo – its worth a shot.
Good Luck – Hope your dad feels better soon.
