I recently bought a purse and I realized that if the leather straps were darker then this purse would rock, does anyone know if I could do this or how I could achieve this task? Ok thank you!

    Hello,

    YEP you can and it very easy, cheap, quick and permanent, just using Shoe Leather Dye. It will look Great!!!!

    The more professional way is to use dye Stains, but for small sections like your straps, Stains are quite more Expensive, and takes more steps.

    Things You’ll Need:
    * Shoe Leather dye (buy at Walmart, etc.);
    * Alcohol;
    * Disposable gloves;
    * Newspapers & rags

    Buy shoe DYE and NOT liquid shoe POLISH. Dyes are in the same supermarket aisle as the shoe polish. KIWI is a very good quality one.

    -1st clean the straps using alcohol to remove any oil left from thouching it, it will somewhat wet the leather, but it is OK.
    -Wear gloves while dyeing your purse, begin to apply the dye starting at the bottom of the straps.
    -Finish with the straps, hang the bag upside down on any pole/chair back, covered with newspaper/ plastic. It is better to let the straps dry for 1 day before using it.
    -If the 1st coat of dye looks uneven use a 2nd or 3rd coating. It really makes a difference, and 1 bottle will go far.
    -The dye will last a long time and you'll only have to touch up any wear marks as they come.
    - Make sure the area your working in is covered with paper or even a plastic cover. The dye can be messy and ruin furniture or carpets.

    Since you have all the products out, why not do one of your belts??
