How long should I wait to stain & water seal a new pressure treated wood fence?

I plain to use a Thompson stain/water seal combo and do it only once. Doesnt the wood need to dry out first?

    i would let it dry out for around 2 -3 weeks. I would also try to find something better than Thompson’s . I used it once on a fence and it only lasted about 4 months

    If you live where I do, don’t wait. The Thompson’s repelled the wood bees that were starting to bore holes in our deck.

    we just put up a fence the guy said 1 week then you can stain that is if it does not rain

    Minimum 1 season, and I believe it is recommended that you wait 2 years before putting anything. Sucks, don’t it.
