Blood Stain Removal from Cotton, Nylon, Polyester, Acrylic, Linen and Spandex – Soak the fresh bloodstains in cold water and then launder in cold water.

If the stain remains, mix a half-teaspoon of dishwashing soap, one tablespoon of ammonia and a quart of warm water. Soak the stain in this solution for approximately fifteen minutes. Gently rub the stain and blot with an absorbent pad.

Once you remove the stain completely, rinse well with cold water and then launder as usual.

First, while its fresh rinse out the blood with COLD water, and let it soak in COLD water until the stain is gone. When you are ready to launder it, follow the directions on the bleach you want to use and just wash like usual using warm water. Before you dry it, check to see if the stain is gone…if its gone dry it, if the stain is still there, soak in cold water again and launder again until gone

Clorox makes a "bleach pen" that has a nice little plastic brush on one end that is really handy for scrubbing a bit with the bleach gel it dispenses. Soaking your stained item in an oxyclean solution is another option. Just make sure you don’t run in through the dryer until you’re happy with the outcome.

rinse it with cold water, rub Dawn Dish washing Liquid onto the stain, then wash in cold water. I would use a color fast bleach also.

Cold water yada yada yada. Get some hydrogen peroxide and pour some on the stain, it will foam like crazy and take the stain out.

  6. l says:

Try hydrogen peroxide first.. it breaks down the blood

try hydrogen peroxide first. it’s what the hospitals use. the bubbles mean it’s breaking down the stain.
p.s. we didn’t need to hear about the tampon and how it got there!
