I have an old urine stain on the side of a sofa. I think that it was upholstered with a cotton fabric.

    Try Oxy-Clean. You can get a generic version at your local dollar store or major grocery store. This stuff seems to take out almost any stain. Mix a couple of tablespoons with warm water in a sprayer and keep the fabric wet with it for a few minutes, rubbing it in gently with you fingers or a very soft brush, then blot with a dry towel. Check the mixing directions on the product for the best mixture of product to water. You may want to test the product on a hidden area, like behind the seat cushion first to make sure it does not discolor the fabric, but so far I have never had this problem.

    Try oxy-clean read directions.and also try oxy-clean for clothes that will work as well
