You can probably get the stain out with Shaving Cream.

Shaving cream is nothing but whipped soap that rinse out easily. The last thing you want to use on your carpet is a sudsy soap. You’ll never get it out.

Dampen the area and scrub shaving cream into the mark. Then blot with wet rags until the shaving cream is gone. Repeat if necessary.

Any brand of shaving cream works as long as it’s white shaving cream.

How huge is huge? I would try Dawn dish liquid on either oil or eyeliner. Mix some up with a little water, and work it into the stain with an old toothbrush. Then rub with a wet clean cloth, from the outside to the center of the stain, to try not to spread the stain. If the black is coming up on your cloth, keep working at it. This will probably take several sessions to remove a dark stain, good luck.

I would first use a citrus degreaser, then use dawn dish soap with some very hot water.

This man showed up at our door with a product called Genie Wonder Cleaner where he removed carpet stains, blood stains and red wine stains in a matter of minutes. The blood stains had been on blanket for 10 years and the red wine stains we on my wedding dress from 7 years ago. He took us outside and removed oil from the pavement, rust and spray paint. We are so amazed with Genie Wonder Cleaner we have shared it with every one. Including my mid wife who loves it. We just found a web site that sells it, Geniewondercleaner dot com It’s earth friendly, bio degradable, and is not harmful to us, with no phosphates. It’s sold in reusable containers in concentrate and one bottle actually makes many bottles. This stuff is amazing.

All professional carpet/upholstery cleaners worldwide use the rinse and extraction process to remove stains/spills and residue from carpeting, furniture and mattresses. If you do not use the rinse and extraction process you are wasting your time. When you wash your hair, you put shampoo in it, and then you rinse it out. Why should carpeting be treated any differently. Protect your valuable investment, call a certified, insured pro. Go to http://www.iicrc.org., to locate one near you.
