You can’t remove nail polish from a blanket using home remedies. If you use nail polish remover, you’ll just work the nail polish further into the blanket. However, many dry cleaners can remove nail polish from fabrics.

You could ask the manager at the hotel if you could have the blanket to try to remove the nail polish. Then you could take the blanket to a dry cleaner for repair. It’s possible the manager will let the matter go if you return a perfect blanket to the hotel. It’s also possible that he (or she) won’t want to bother and find it easier to just charge your friend.

You have nothing to lose by asking.

If the manager doesn’t allow you to try to fix this problem and if your friend has to pay for that blanket, she will then own the blanket. Make sure she gets possession of it, in this case. I would hope that she doesn’t have to pay for something that she never even gets to own.

    Good luck.

There are only two things that remove nail polish.. nail polish remover or paint thinner. Good luck!

Apply a little nail polish remover and take off the stain with a piece of paper.
