I accidentally spilled some Jergens Natural Glow on my carpet and it left a stain. Is there any way to get this out?

Don’t rub it in, blot it lightly. Try OXY Clean Laundry Stain Remover. You should see the color of the stain dissapear within seconds. If the carpet is very light in color you can also try bleach-water. Dab the spot, when it is dry, with a Q-tip.

In order to get the stain out one needs to know the chemical composition of the tanning lotion. Most of these compounds are oil based so that is the first hurdle, finding a surfactant that will break the chemical bond of the oil to your fabric. Problem number two is whether or not some of the other ingredients have reacted chemically with the chemicals in the carpet structure. My best guess is a non water based degreaser, followed by steam extraction. Probably the best idea is to call the Jergens customer service number on the bottle BEFORE you do anything! WHATEVER YOU DO- DON’T USE ANY WATER ON IT UNTIL YOU CHECK WITH THEM.

I once got out a hair dye stain in my carpet with Spot Shot carpet stain remover. You can find it at Walmart, etc. It is in a blue can.

I agree with srgmom, I use Spot Shot for EVERYTHING, and I have never had a stain not come out! It works wonders!
