how to get wax off Ford KA plastic bumpers?

I washed my black Ford KA and waxed it but some wax got onto pretty much every one of the plastic bumpers (I thought I could just wipe it off). But it looks as though I might have wax-stained bumpers forever now as I’ve tried using soap and water and it doesn’t make a difference. Does anybody know if anything works or if there is a specific product I can buy. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Use new was to dissolve old hard wax. Put some new soft wax on the dry wax. It will dissolve a little layer off the hardened wax. Wipe it off before it dries.

Repeat until all the dry was is removed.

    Good Luck…

take a small bottle of brake fluid and pour some on a clean rag. apply making sure not to touch the paint and it should make your bumper ends like new. Remember keep the damp rag off the paint or you will be repainting the car next.

The plastic has a grain to it and the polish is embedded in that grain, that’s why you can’t wipe it off. It needs to be scrubbed, a new nailbrush is good for this, and neat washing up liquid usually does the trick.

You’ll probably still see a difference where part of the bumper is noticeably cleaner than the rest, to sort it out you can get products called "back to black" or something similar or if you’re a cheapskate like me you can use black boot polish. Gives a better and longer lasting finish, with some elbow grease . . .

there are many brands of adhesive and wax remover on the market today just go down to the local auto store. my husband details cars for a living and he just said if it’s not painted plastic to take a #2 pencil eraser to it and that will take off any old wax residue.
