How to remove a dirt dust “stain” from new auto paint?

I had my truck painted a couple weeks ago i washed with plain water as instructed however when dried there is a palm sized dull dust stain on the hood that appears to be part of the clear coat paint. How i do i fix this situation?

    it might have to be wet sanded and buffed out. take it back to the shop that painted it. they should be able to buff it in a few minutes. If its a reputable shop they’ll do it for free

    There are these high gloss cleaner solution that you can use with a buffer. Turtle wax makes a great solution that you can use with a buffer.

    blame the repair shop and have them fix it. its scummy, but they wont argue with you. they shouldnt have let the car out if the paint wasnt fully ready/dry.
