How to remove nail polish stains on your nails?

How do you remove red nail polish stains? I heard you can use lemon juice but I don’t have any. Or there any other ways to remove the stains?
I already used nail polish remover. :P

    Over time it’ll go away, but I usually get stains when I don’t apply a base coat or I don’t allow it to sit and dry for a long enough time. What I do is just paint another color over it (making sure to use a base coat) and then when you remove that color, your nails should be normal looking again.

    dilute salt into warm water along with any citrus juice u may or may not have in a bowl, place your fingertips in the solution, wait 10-20 minutes. this should work fine :)
