This is absolutely foolproof for any laundered items! Mix Dawn dish washing liquid soap with hydrogen peroxide…then pour on the stain and let sit as a presoak. Neither of these ingredients works by itself. You must use BOTH. You’ll actually see the red wine disappear as you drizzle the mixture on a stain! I have used it to take major red wine stains out of ALL clothing and table cloths (regardless of the color of the item). I have used it on old dried stains and stains that were laundered, bleached and subsequently turned "yellow". OLD, old stains have been successfully removed. Just make sure the soap/peroxide mixture is relatively fresh. I used some the other day that was a few months old (I keep a bottle on my washing machine and pre-treat clothes as I see them coming through on wash day) and it did not remove a particularly large stain completely.

All-Purpose Stain Remover: Use Sol-U-Mel to lift out ink, chewing gum, tree sap, or oil stains. Dilute it for light jobs or use it full-strength on tough stains

These websites have the most remarkable solutions for removing red wine stains … but I think some of them might work, depending on the fabric of your shirt.

    Good luck with it!

Hey, here is my tip. I’ve got a whole page devoted to red wine stains. I just found this area of yahoo. Pretty nice tool.

There is more info in the link below (this is my site)

I copied this from my page.

Although red wine stains are common on furniture and carpet, clothing is the number one target for obvious reasons. As you will discover, red wine stain removal for clothes consists of many options, some that have been used by our grandmothers and their grandmothers and other methods that are new and improved. These methods are non-commercial, meaning you will likely have everything needed within reach.

First, always pay attention to labels. If you have a clothing item that is dry clean only, you want to have a professional work on the stain. Otherwise, you can try to sprinkle a little bit of talcum powder or cornstarch on the stain. With this, the red wine stain is absorbed by the powder. Once dry, use a soft-bristle brush to get the remaining powder off or gently shake it out. Another option is to boil water and then place the area of the fabric with the stain in the water for a few minutes. The result – the stain will disappear.

Another red wine stain removal tip that works is to use club soda. This option is a great choice when dining out since you can find it in just about any restaurant. Simply moisten a clean cloth with the club soda and blot. Milk also works well for stains received at home or dining out. With the same method, blot the stain with a cloth moistened with milk. This works about 99% of the time, making a great red wine stain removal method.

If you have just spilled red wine, and you have white wine handy, pour the white wine on top off it. The white wine will dilutes the red pigmentation and will make it easier to remove. You can also pour salt on to the stained area, wait a few minutes and rinse it out with running water. If you have an old stain, soak the stain with either lemon or vinegar and water solution (50/50), then wash it as usual.
