how to rid carpet of old set in pet stains?

I have white carpet and my pet has urinated in various spots…I have spot treated them with white vinegar, and used a carpet cleaning machine with bleach/water. although the spots have lightened they are still there……Help!

    I would try using oxy clean . . . you could put some tablespoons in a spray bottle, let it dissolve and then spray. For a really persistent stain you could sprinkle some on the carpet and work it in with some water and a scrub brush.

    Personally I would rip out the carpeting and replace it with ceramic tile.

    But you might try this Woolite for pet stains first.

    Go to an Automotive store and buy a can of Tuff Stuff, it works wonders. I keep a can handy for emergencies. It runs between 4 and 6 bucks, but worth it. You can also you it on the fabric in your car, on couches, upholstery, etc. Good luck!
