I have a kitchen island with butcher block top. I have cleaned the area and most of the ink has come up. However, ink stains still remain in the grain of the wood. What can get it out?

Two options to try…. Make a paste of oxi-clean and apply it to the spot. This worked for me after a bottle of ink spilled in a dresser drawer. Another option is Bar-Keepers Friend scouring powder. It has oxalic acid in it which acts as a wood bleach. Make a paste of it and leave it stand on the spot. I’ve used this to remove dark walnut stain from wood before re-staining. It also bleaches the wood.

If using rubbing alcohol and peroxide doesn’t work. Try to sand the surface.
