I called and spoke with a Mcdonalds assistant manager who said they do have an employee with a hand bandaged up and she would look into it and for me to just throw it away and that was the extent of that. I feel something more should have been done. I did not throw it away I keep it. What would you have done if this happened to you?

Call the headquarters. If you still have the receipt look on it for a number that is higher than just the local mcdonald’s you went to. They will be more concerned with your satisfaction and would go to higher rewards to get you to not sue them. Blood can carry many diseases and they will not take it lightly.

    Write a book about it.

    SUE.

I would have been like, " Why… is there.. blood… in my food?" And make a big deal about it.

Call the health department and ask for an inspection. That’s absolutely disgusting, the employee should have been wearing gloves.

Assuming you have not tossed it out already, I would take a photo of it for proof. Write down the day, what store, and what you learned form the phone call. McDonald’s website should have information on how to reach the corporate office. I would inform them and go from there.

It may be a bit over the top but take photos (camera phone or what ever) get a good loyer and go in and sue them silly you would probably be rolling in cash because they would not want that getting out so they would probably settle it out of court before people find out.

    that’s what i would do.

uum sue them…get money out of it and hopefully you get famous for such a funny story it truely is. Even the lady that went to wendys and found a finger in it got famous even if she did it. This is your chance at your 15 min of fame lol go for it. Hope to see ya on Dateline or somethin like that soon. No joke this would be awesome, no more mcdonalds is a good world. Good luck.

Good natured people in general do not rant and rave about suing any single person or store or company. They may or may not want to be compensated for their loss, or they want justice.

If there are dollar signs in your head (I hope this isn’t the case), then just think about it this way. McDonalds is a world wild multi billion dollar chain. Don’t you think they’d have lawyers on their side as well? They can easily say you put the bandage there yourself.

Besides there are proper procedures when incidents of this nature happen. They (the manager on duty) have to apologize to you in person as well as the store itself must write an apology or follow-up letter formally in writing, they must comp your meal(s). They have internal paperwork to fill in, and its all quite organized.

They research to find out which employee was hurt. What was their infliction, how was the contaminant contained. Was the customer notified and followed up on… lots of internal stuff for them to do. If the assistant manager just shrugged it off, then make it a point to speak with the head manager of that location, if not, contact the district region supervisor.

MacDonald’s is very strict in their policies and have rules and regulations for each location to follow. If after a certain amount of negative comments or complaints is made about a certain location, they either change the staff, or even close down the location.

Assistant managers job is to help the manager, and if they don’t want to loose their job, they (if they are a bad one) will shovel as much dirt under a carpet as much as possible so that the manager will not think anything was wrong…

Bottom line here, nothing wrong = no bad ratings = job security.

definately this is serious so make sure you dont let them get away with it that. sueing themis the most responsible thing to do.
    …or ask for a free happy meal..hard decision..hmm?:)

  12. Johnny Hand$ome says:

call corporate and let them know….they’ll prolly give you a gift card with a large amount or alot of free food for a period of time just to show that they care………or if you want money you can sue…..

    Wash it.

Take it back and get your money back or a new salad.

I would take pictures, call their corporate service number and file a complaint, and call a lawyer. That is gross and people should have gloves on when making our food. Call your local news station. It is up to you how must hell you want to raise.

  17. Car says:

Just call and ask to talk to the general manager. The assistant manager was most likely just scared and wanted to give you a response and you didn’t get upset at them so they thought it was ok. Speak to the general manager and ask them what they can do. People these day’s are so sue happy it is not worth your time. If you didn’t eat any of it I wouldn’t worry.

P.S. That employee should have been wearing gloves.
