I got a stain in my carpet i cannot get out.?

One of my cats knocked a plant down and the soil stained the carpet, the plant was watered that day so i used prosolve carpet foam cleaner and a pet stain remover, but it did not get any of the stain out. The carpet is a light beige colour and the stain looks worse than it is.can anyone suggest a home remedy to get the stain out.

    you need a pro. no home remedy will work. in fact you made it worse with the stuff you used.

    a carpet shampooer. you can usually rent one somewhere and if your carpet is worth saving than the cost is not an issue.

    Since it is a light color, try some Spot Shot carpet stain cleaner. It comes in an aerosol spray can and it is solvent based. I find it will remove most stains from carpet – wine, red kool aid, etc. Test a spot because I have seen it remove the color, but it works well on light-colored carpets. You can buy it at most grocery/hardware stores.

    Apparently white wine or vinegar sorts them out?
